Despite having the most psychiatrists and access to psych medicine, most americans suffer from mental disease?

I believe that with the bad lives people live that they can't deal with the stress, to be honest I think a lot of mental diseases are misdiagnosed and that people use them to crutch on the fact that they are not happy and they can't act or be how others want them to be. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying they don't exist, I acknowledge that people get Alzheimer's and diseases like that at an older age and that some people are born with autism and such but I believe that there are common misdiagnosis in certain thinks like ADD, OCD, Bipolar and such.
