Should i take lortab?

well im 16 and i have been taking codeine the past few hours because today i got a screw put through my navicular bone in my wrist because i fractured it. but all the codeine does is make me pee a ton and i still have the pain and no side affects and i cant sleep. i got prescribed lortab and im kind of afraid of pills and stuff from stories and listings of side effects and its making me not want to take it but the pain is unbearable. i have no history of allergies or anything but am afraid of allergic reactions and being addicted. im just very undecided and need help. should i take it? should i take advise from strangers? i need sleep and no pain for once and for all:( i feel like cutting off my arm!
